Job Description

Full Time #ALDIND This position will support the new Saint Francis specialty pharmacy services scheduled to begin in early 2025 near Warren Clinic Tower. Onboarding and training will occur at select Saint Francis outpatient pharmacies in the Tulsa area prior to specialty pharmacy services starting.
Job Summary: The Pharmacy Business Analyst analyzes pharmacy data in support of activities aimed at expanding business initiatives. This role evaluates and advances business prospects through data analysis and validation, supporting proposal development by data interpretation and serving as a resource for the utilization and optimization of pharmacy data.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience in data analytics, preferably in a healthcare environment. Experience within a hospital pharmacy, pharmacy billing, revenue cycle, pharmacy claims, or 340B program, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Superior knowledge and understanding of data to generate valuable insights for business and program enhancement. Knowledge of pharmacy billing and reimbursement, clinic operations, and experience with the 340B program. Demonstrated analytical skills with a keen focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, including a strong customer service focus and the ability to work effectively with in a team. Proven ability in writing code using statistical tools and intermediate proficiency in utilizing business intelligence tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Shown ability to extract and manipulate data from database tables.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Develops hypothesis-driven analyses and recommendations from pharmacy related data, such as financial opportunity analyses supporting data acquisition and validation. Synthesizes, analyzes, and refines diverse data sets including financial, clinical, and operational data to drive actionable insights and recommendations. Extracts data from multiple sources using data tools to obtain information and summarize findings from data warehouse. Prepares reports and presentation materials in a way to clearly deliver consolidated and interpreted data. Creates clear and concise modeling for understanding growth initiatives and new program expansion. Collaborates with and supports departments to build flexible financial models to facilitate data-driven decision-making through the provision of pharmacy data. Performs assessments to ensure internal controls are in place, identifying defects, making improvement recommendations, and guaranteeing compliance benchmarks are met. Recognizes data trends, resolving charge capture issues and maximizes reimbursement in compliance with regulatory standards, as needed. Develops a comprehensive understanding of the 340B drug program, insurance navigation and operations, as needed.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.
Working Relationships: Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
